Mast Ban in Athens

There has recently been a decision (no. 6006/2002) by a magistrates court in Athens which prevented the installation of mobile phone base stations in the area of Halandri, Athens, Greece, on the grounds that there is no scientific evidence proving that there is no risk associated with mobile phone base stations and ‘the benefit of health is invaluable and is not subject to experimentation or juxtaposition with controversial goods of modern technology which might put it at risk, neither with economic interests, no matter how powerful they are'.
