Head of World Health Organization complains of cell phone symptoms!!!
Monday, August 12, 2002
Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, M.D., former Prime Minister of Norway and now Director-General of the World Health Organization is obviously sensitised to mobile phones as well as to portable phones. An interview with her was published by the Norwegian daily Dagbladet (Oslo) last Saturday.
She gave a clear description of her problem, which she has approached in a self-critical and systematic manner in order to rule out that she was merely being "hysterical". Using a mobile phone gives her a severe
headache. If someone enters her room with a phone in stand-by she will quickly get a mild headache.
She regretted having given mobile phones as presents to grandchildren, but is appropriately reserved when asked about possible serious risks, such as cancer. In any case, Dr. Brundtland feels that the precautionary principle should be applied in this area.
The interview as well as an accompanying article from Dagbladet are
